Getting to know Stacie Ysidro
longer bio…
A Tampa native, I started taking belly dancing lessons when I was fifteen years old, and I intensively studied with professionals from all over the world. I focused on everything from African dance, gypsy dance, Egyptian style, Turkish style to cabaret belly dance. To constantly expand my horizons, I continue to take workshops with renowned dancers to this day. I have been performing professionally since 1998 in restaurants, nightclubs, and festivals, as well as private weddings and events. I have taught with many local professionals in the Tampa Bay area throughout my belly dancing career, in addition to offering private individual and group lessons. Along with performing, I also began sewing dance costumes and mentored with a local professional seamstress and costume designer. I had the privilege of working for Busch Gardens, sewing costumes for the theme park from 1999-2000.
Over the years I have become known for dancing to live music, skillfully playing my Zills, specializing in the art of audience engagement, projecting a mesmerizing stage presence, and maintaining a polished look. I have been a resident dancer at Byblos Cafe from 2001-2014 and a resident dancer at multiple locations of Acropolis Greek Taverna from 2002-2016. Currently I am performing regularly at Gengiz Kahn Mediterranean restaurant in South Tampa, and also at private parties and events all around the Tampa Bay area.
I additionally built a life as a salon professional by starting out as an assistant while still in high school. Upon graduation and licensure in 1998, I became a stylist, hair color specialist and make-up artist, helping people to look and feel their best. Eventually becoming a teacher within the salon in 2004 and a shareholder in 2005, I completed many workshops and classes focused on salon business combined with creative techniques while becoming a Redken Certified Colorist. I have enjoyed many opportunities in hair styling and make-up application for TV (Showtime, the NFL Network, Lifetime), as well as video and photo shoots.
After joining the leadership team in the salon, I wanted to further my education. So, in 2009 I decided to enroll in a certification program (iPec) specializing in energy leadership in order to become a business and life coach. I used my coaching skills with our leadership team in the salon and with our employees, helping them achieve their goals in the beauty industry as well as their personal lives.
In 2010 I took a leap of faith and ventured off on my own, starting my coaching business Holistic Progressions. I continued doing hair, makeup and belly dancing while still seeing clients and deepening my expertise in sexology, tantra, spirituality, and coaching studying with numerous sex therapist and shamans. Practitioners I have worked with include, but are not limited to: Dr. Patti Britton; Dr. Roberts; Dr. and shaman Gina Ogden; metaphysical life coach, erotic educator and sexological bodyworker Bishop EveLynn Maurine; sexual shaman Kenneth Ray Stubbs; and sex educator and coach Jayia. I completed a specialized certification in Sex Coaching from Sex Coach U in 2018.
I have a wide spectrum of experience and education to draw from when serving my coaching clients. I wanted to know in depth all sides of the sexuality spectrum. I ventured into various forms of adult entertainment. I now know what people do in real life, versus what they tell other people they do…I’ve seen just about everything! The level of compassion, understanding, and empathy I gained from this journey has been priceless. This experience combined with my education has given me a full understanding of sexual expressions in all its forms.
Since 2009 I have been coaching individuals, couples and groups throughout the United States. I have worked with thousands of people, helping them to embrace and express their authentic sexual selves.
In my private life: I am a mother of two. I have been bodybuilding since 2014, and I am now competing at a national level in the National Physique Committee Bikini Division. I enjoy sharing all my skills, gifts and talents with gratitude.
